Good news for the safety of our children

Leicestershire County Council Highways have agreed to install Advisory School 20 mph Zone signs, which will cover the section of Main Street most used by children attending the local school. CASUAL VACANCY
CASUAL VACANCY

If you feel you would like to become a Parish Councillor please write to me immediately. There is a meeting every month, you may be asked to attend other meetings which are of interest to our village, but only if you volunteer; nobody will judge you if you don't want to go! There is no remuneration. The official notice is going on the Noticeboard tomorrow 20th May 2009 and we must receive applications within two weeks. Please think about it, it is a worthwhile commitment.
In view of what has happened with MPs in the last few weeks, I think this is a good time to say that our Parish Councillors have NEVER CLAIMED EXPENSES EVER! What they do is for the good of the residents and not for their own benefit. More »
